This is a society in which public officials have harsher words for destroyers of property than for murderers. Of course I oppose violence. But I refuse to join in the rush to condemn the sins of the powerless while the much greater sins of the powerful are excused. I do not accept the legitimacy of a lawless state's call for law and order.
My thoughts from last fall remain relevant now.
